Stop Hunger Now is working with national and international strategic partners positioned in Myanmar and China to aid natural disaster victims.
On May 9, Stop Hunger Now provided $5,000 in funding to assist nearly 200 relief workers in Myanmar. The donation will help provide necessary food, water and other essential supplies. Stop Hunger Now responded again on May 12 by wiring $2,500 to a partner relief organization to aid the earthquake relief efforts in China.
“We always want to help those who are suffering as quickly as we can. By working with our strategic partners who already have workers in-country, we are able to provide immediate relief to a great number of people who are hungry and displaced,” said Stop Hunger Now Founder and President Ray Buchanan.
Ten Years of Miracles
On January 1, 1998 Stop Hunger Now officially began working to achieve a world without hunger. Since that day we have helped feed millions in over 65 countries around the world.
Our food and aid have reached the victims of hurricanes, mudslides and earthquakes, have provided both hope and sustenance for victims of conflict, have helped feed homeless and destitute after tsunamis, and have reached those suffering the ravages of sickness and disease. Orphans have gone to bed with full stomachs due to our efforts, AIDS victims have been able to take their medicines because of our food, and countless thousands of children have been encouraged to attend to school because of hot meals provided by Stop Hunger Now.
